Gretsch Round Badge Tangerine Sparkle Name Band Set 22"/13"/6"

This beautiful 1960's Gretsch round badge "Name Band Outfit" in rare & original Tangerine Sparkle is a feast for the eyes.  It is fresh in on consignment & is original with no extra holes & beautiful both aesthetically & sonically.  The Tangerine wrap is still mouth-wateringly vibrant & the interiors are adorned with original silver sealer paint & paper tags.  The original hardware & hoops present well.  The 13" tom & bass drum have some characteristic Gretsch seam lift & on the 13" tom, you can see where the original owner used 3 small tacks to hold the seam down which have since been removed (the tacks did not penetrate the shell, only the wrap).  The toms have their original dual tone controls (top & bottom) as well as the original Jimmy Pratt bass drum muffler (the tone control on the bottom of the 16" appears to have less patina on the internal parts than the rest & may be a correct Gretsch replacement).  The bearing edges are true & original with exception of a section of the batter side bass drum edge which has some bumps, see pics.  The bass drum tunes up easily & sounds great.  There is an area on the batter & resonant side of the bass drum near the edges where a small amount of wrap is missing (which is only visible when the hoops are removed).  This is typical of tangerine sparkle drums due to the thickness of tangerine wrap which can make the heads fit snug.  These small areas of missing wrap actually allows the heads to go on easier.  Original front bass drum head!  The shells are all 6 ply Jasper.
