For your viewing pleasure is this excellent example of a 1970 6.5"x14" Ludwig Super 402 Ludaloy Supraphonic snare drum (date stamped Feb18 1970). It is 100% original in every way with exception of nice replacement Remo heads. The chrome is very clean for an original '70s Supra. As you may know, these drums are notorious for pitting and flaking. Other than a few light scratches/chips and some mild handling wear, this drum is in great shape. There are no dings or dents. The P-85 operates smoothly, as does the muffler. It features a pointy Blue & Olive badge with six digit serial number. All tension rods and washers are original, and the original Ludwig wires look and sound great. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. It's difficult finding '70s 6.5" Supraphonics in this condition, so if you've been looking for a nice one - don't hesitate. This drum tunes up like an absolute champ and sounds amazing. It would be right at home amongst the finest of recording studios, or on any stage. Ready to play right out of the box. Enjoy!
