For your viewing pleasure is this rare Ludwig set in stunning Psychedelic Red. This set is Ludwig's Octa-Plus outfit with that rare cataloged 24" bass drum option. It is missing the 6" & 8" toms for it to be a true Octa-Plus set though. While Psychedelic Red was an amazing & unique color offering by Ludwig, its Achilles Heel was that the green in the wrap is very prone to fading with prolonged exposure to UV light. These have been fortunate enough to have survived all these years with the brilliant greens intact. There is some honest play ware & scuffs here & there from being played & moved around, but it presents wonderfully overall. If you have your license to drive a big-rig, you owe it to yourself to step up to this vintage drum marvel.
Ludwig used two different versions of Psychedelic Wrap. The second version had a little darker back ground. The two smallest drums (10" & 12") have the second version wrap while the rest of the drums have the first version which means this set was built as they were transitioning from the first version to the second.
