For your viewing pleasure is this unique and beautiful Ludwig cocktail drum, which Ludwig called the "Las Vegas Stand Up" in their 1960 catalog. This rare set would have originally came with a 4x13 snare drum and lots of accouterments. All of the holes seen in the pics are original from the factory. As can be seen in the 1960 catalog pic, this drum was cataloged as coming factory equipped with Ludwig's no. 1374 hi-hat cymbal attachment, no.1369b cymbal holder, no.127 cowbell holder, and no.1353 snare drum swing holder (shell mounted). Some of these brackets where removed at some point where the holes are seen. The two Ludwig brackets below the top which would have held the hi-hat and cymbal holders are the second gen. versions, while the three at the bottom for the floor legs are 1st gen. versions. The hoops have both been replaced. Although it's a little hard to read the year, the interior is date stamped SEP 14 1961. The shell is 3 ply mahogany interior with 3 re-enforcement hoops. The wrap is in overall great condition with some light scratches/scuffs here and there. The seam has lifted a bit in the center. Due to the size that the sheets of wrap were produced in, a second piece needed to be used on these towards the bottom as can be seen in the pics. It tunes up well and sounds nice and deep! Enjoy!
