For your kind consideration is this vintage Ludwig No. No. 491L 5x14 Pioneer snare drum in rarely seen Blue Lacquer finish. This drum is all original down to the Weather Master heads and 12 strand wires. There's an internal JAN 5 1971 date stamp on the lovely maple shell interior. No extra holes or modifications of any kind. The original P-85 throw-off is in excellent condition and operates smoothly. There's the most minimal of aging on the 6 lugs and triple flanged hoops and they shine beautifully. The lacquer finish has aged nicely with some beautiful natural crazing. There's a spot near the tone control knob and a couple other smaller spots where the lacquer has chipped on this otherwise pristine drum. Enjoy!
