For your extreme viewing pleasure is this vintage Ludwig No. 491 Pioneer 5x14 snare drum. It's in beautiful, well cared for condition and sounds awesome. The Oyster Black Pearl wrap is nearly perfect with only a few light surface marks. The three ply white interior shell has an internal date stamp of MAY 16 1966. It features a nice keystone badge (serial # 438XXX). The original chrome P-83 strainer, butt, and white felt baseball bat muffler are all fully functional, and the chrome bow-tie lugs show beautifully. All tension rods and washers are original. The chrome over steel hoops are in great condition with just a few specs of oxidation here and there. This has a newer Ludwig coated Weather Master Medium batter side head, Remo snare side head, and Ludwig wires. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. This beautiful Pioneer would be right at home amongst the finest of collections, studios, or stages. Enjoy!
