1962 Ludwig 6.5x14 No. 912 School Festival Snare Drum Gold Sparkle Pre-Serial

For your kind consideration is this 1962 Ludwig pre-serial # keystone badge 6.5x14 School Festival snare drum in lovely gold sparkle. The throw off was changed at one point, leaving two holes underneath the now period correct throw off. It has changed heads and wires, otherwise the parts are all original. The brass hoops are in nice condition with slight plating loss, one small cosmetic bend on the bottom hoop shown in pics. The interior is date stamped SEP 7 1962. The hardware looks great, and the period correct P-83 strainer functions smoothly, as does the original red felt baseball bat muffler. The drum was bumped on the strainer at some point causing a split in the wrap and a slight cosmetic split in the shell which can be seen on the inside of the shell. It is cosmetic in nature and does not affect the integrity, roundness, or tuning. This drum tunes up with the greatest of ease and sounds absolutely amazing. Who doesn't need the perfect vintage Ludwig wood 6.5x14 to round out their snare drum arsenal? Enjoy!
