One of the primary reasons Ludwig is "The Most Famous Name On Drums" is the legendary Black Beauty Snare Drum, and the Hot Rod takes that American classic and gives it a sleek, high-performance tune-up.
Built around a 1.2mm seamless brass shell in a matte black finish with 45-degree bearing edges, this drum offers a warm, round metallic tone with dynamic range from whispery ghost notes to full-throttle rimshots, finished off with copper-plated hardware throughout.
Because this snare was displayed at the 2026 Music City Drum Show, we are able to offer it at a discount even though it is brand new and comes with the factory box and Ludwig key.
