For your viewing pleasure is this great sounding vintage 5x14 "All Around Model" Ludwig 6 lug Universal snare drum from the 1920s. This drums is made with the same coveted heavy 2 piece brass shell that the Black Beauties and Professional models in the 1920s were made with. It is in great overall condition for a drum that is about a century old. A few clips have been replaced but they are all fully functional. The top hoop may have been replaced and is drilled for a Tango style throw off. The snare has a long thumb rod that attaches to the lower piece of the Tango strainer so tension is adjustable but not able to be disengaged as with a traditional throw off design. Most importantly the drum tunes up easily and sounds terrific! Perfect for the collector or player wanting the legendary sound of a Ludwig heavy 2 piece shell at a fraction of the price. Enjoy!
