For your viewing pleasure is this stunning 1966 Rogers Swingtime set in classy Steel-Gray Ripple, which is a debonair & sought after finish.  All three drums of this factory matched set have flat gray interiors.  The 12" tom & bass drum both have Dayton paper tags with 65XXX & 66XXX serial #'s & the floor tom has a Cleveland paper tag with a 61XXX serial #.  1966 was the year that Rogers headquarters office moved from Cleveland, OH to Dayton, OH, so it was common for sets that were sold during that year to have both Cleveland & Dayton tags like these beauties.  Although Rogers built amazing drums during several different era's, the flat gray interior / beavertail lug era, which spanned from late 1963 through 1966, is generally considered to be extra special.  This set is no exception, the 5 ply shells all tune up like champs in a wide range of tunings as Rogers are known for.  There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind.  The wrap is in excellent condition  with only an area of tom rash on the bass drum in the area where the bottom rim had touched.  Other than the heads, this set is completely original down to the tension rods & tone controls.  The original bass drum hoops have been resprayed at some point, & there is one split in the inlay a few inches away from where it is nailed in.  The bottom line on these drums; they look as good as they sound & sound as good as they look.  Enjoy!
