For your supreme viewing pleasure is this drop dead gorgeous vintage Rogers drum set in an extraordinarily hard to find uncataloged Purple Diamond Pearl. This set was extremely well cared for and it shows. The wrap is in wonderfully preserved condition for the age and displays majestically. The floor tom is slightly more vibrant than the other drums. The bass hoops have been professionally re-painted and look fantastic, there is one small piece of bass hoop inlay that is more vibrant than the rest. There are no extra holes or modifications, and the bearing edges are true and original. The snare and the bass drum have the "pirate" badge and the two toms have the "leaning backward" script badge. It's very common and even the norm to have sets from this erra with these two different badges as there was an overlap in the years they were used. All original mufflers, hardware, and tall boy hoops are present. All of the drums have original tension rods and washers. The batter side heads on all drums are amazingly still original, as is the bottom snare side head, which is a testament to how little play time they've received in their 63+ years. Aside from the lugs on the snare having a few hairline stress cracks as is commonly seen with this era of lugs, the lugs on the bass and both toms are extraordinarily completely free of cracks! Most importantly, this set tunes up wonderfully and is an absolute pleasure to play and view. If you've been searching high and low for an impossibly rare and complete Rogers purple diamond pearl outfit, you'd be incredibly hard pressed to find a finer example.
