For your viewing pleasure is this Slingerland Super Gene Krupa Radio King 5.5″x14″ snare drum built with Slingerland’s legendary single ply solid shell, & wrapped in their classy Light Blue Pearl finish (also known as Sky Blue Pearl). Other than the heads, this drum is all original including the wires, & dates to 1961-62. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. The Super strainer, (or clam shell, as it is sometimes referred to as), looks beautiful & operates perfectly, as does the tone control. There's one small ding on the strainer side clam. This piece has been very well cared for throughout the years. The wrap & chrome are very clean. It tunes up wonderfully, & produces the heavenly sonic signature that can only be realized with a vintage, old growth, solid maple shell Slingerland snare that has seasoned for well over 50 years.
