For your kind consideration is this vintage Slingerland 14x18 tenor bass drum in rare Blue Diamond Pearl finish. This color is cited by Rob Cook in "The Slingerland Book". It is described by Slingerland historian & expert Mark Cooper that "around 1947-1949, a unique light blue-ish gray version of Black Diamond Pearl appeared for a while. This was just a 'limited run' color variation from the Pyralin manufacturer and was not listed as a separate finish from Black Diamond Pearl. This odd and beautiful variety can also be seen on some post World War II drums." The badge dates this drum to late 1947-1950. It's in great condition aside from a few cracks in the wrap and one piece of wrap missing under the hoop, shown in pics. The modern heads were painted to look like old calfskin heads. Most importantly it tunes up with ease and sounds fantastic. Comes with two vintage Leedy hoop mount spurs. Truly a beautiful and great sounding piece of Slingerland history. Enjoy!
