Based on a workhorse design from the studio era, the reborn Studio King Series features a 5-ply Maple-Poplar formula shell with a 45-degree bearing edge that thrives under a studio mic and on the road. These shells produce a focused attack, warm and versatile tone with medium resonance. The drums feature Nickel-plated hardware with Stick Saver hoops, classic Beavertail lugs, heavy-duty 1/2″ inch floor tom legs, and road-ready folding bass drum spurs. This configuration includes 7x10″ and 8x12″ toms, 16x16″ floor tom, and a 16x22″ bass drum.
