For your viewing pleasure is this great sounding 1920s 4x14 Ludwig 6 lug Pioneer snare drum made with the same coveted heavy 2 piece brass shell that the Black Beauties and Professional models in the 1920s were made with. It is in fantastic overall condition for a drum that is about a century old. All of the tension rods and clips are original, as are the hoops. The top hoop is stamped with the "Ludwig Pioneer Model" stamp. The shell is in round, with no significant dings or dents. The original strainer functions well. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. The drum tunes up easily and sounds excellent! Enjoy the legendary sound of a Ludwig heavy 2 piece shell at a fraction of the price!
