It features 6 lugs, the Ludwig Pat Pending strainer, and "Ludwig & Ludwig" stamped top hoop. It's in collectors grade condition with gorgeous original plating. It is 100% original with exception of heads. The tension rods/clips, and gut snare wires are all original. This drum has a striking appearance, and has been well cared for. The original Pat Pending strainer operates perfectly. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. This is the exact same heavy two piece brass shell used on the iconic 5x14 Black Beauties of the time, and would be a terrific addition to any recording studio, stage, or collection. This drum tunes up perfectly. It can & should be played and enjoyed for many years to come.
