For your viewing pleasure is this excellent example of a 1970s 6.5x14 Ludwig Supraphonic snare drum. It is original with exception of nice replacement Pure Sound wires and a Remo snare side head (the top head is the original Ludwig Weather Master). Considering how notorious vintage Ludalloy chrome shells are for pitting and flaking, this is a very clean example. Other than a few light scratches and some mild light pitting in a few areas, this drum is in great shape. There are no dings, dents, or extra holes in the shell. The original hoops look great, but as is the case with the grand majority of vintage Ludwig hoops, under close scrutiny they show a very slight cosmetic bend in the top lip which does not affect the sound, tuning, fit, or integrity of the drum in any way. The original first version P-85 strainer operates smoothly, as does the muffler. It features a pointy Blue & Olive badge with seven digit serial number 1360XXX. All tension rods and washers are original. It's not the easiest task finding '70s 6.5" Supraphonics in this condition, so if you've been looking for a nice one - don't hesitate. Most importantly, this drum tunes up like an absolute champ and sounds amazing. Ready to play right out of the box. Enjoy!
