For your viewing delight is this incredibly rare vintage Pearl Vari-Pitch drum set in Black. This unique collaboration between Pearl and Remo pairs full phenolic drum shells with Roto-Tom style tunable batter heads, delivering the projection and sustain of a phenolic shell with the tonal flexibility of a Roto-Tom. This set includes four Vari-Pitch tunable toms (8/10/12/14) alongside a conventional 16" floor tom and 22" bass drum. Produced in extremely limited numbers in the late 1970s, these sets are highly sought after by collectors today. This set shows signs of being gigged, including scuffs and dings throughout. The Vari-Pitch tuning system functions as it should without issue.
Notes: Some common bubbling in wrap (common on fiberglass drums). Original heads could use replacing. One bass drum leg is a close replacement, no extra holes were added. Some rust on the hoops.
