For your viewing pleasure is this rarely seen 1970's Slingerland 14x18 bop bass drum in stunning highly figured natural maple on both the outside and inside. It is completely original and in good condition. This drum was originally sold from "Drums Only" drum shop and has a small shop stamp on the inside, very cool! The bearing edges are true and original, as is often seen on Slingerlands from the 1960's/70's there is a little factory wood filler here and there. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. The natural finish on this drum has held up well over the years compared to others we've had, exhibiting normal signs of age and play wear including some surface scratches and lacquer checking. Not only does this drum display gorgeous flamed maple outside and inside normally only found on fine boutique drums of today, but most importantly it tunes up wonderfully and sounds beautiful in a range of tunings.
