For your viewing pleasure is this somewhat rare chrome over brass 1970's Slingerland 10 Lug Gene Krupa 6.5x14 Sound King snare drum. These get our vote for being the most undervalued power house vintage snare drums on the planet. It has an amazing heavy brass shell which has a wonderfully warm yet commanding sonic signature. The chrome on this drum is strong and shows well. The Zoomatic strainer works smoothly and looks great. There are no extra holes or modifications. As is very common with these heavy brass shells, a couple of the lugs were lightly bumped at some point causing a faint line between two of the lugs at the top and the bottom of the lugs in two of the panels. The drum still presents beautifully and is in round. The drum is 100% original with exception of heads and wires. The original muffler looks good and is fully functional. The black and silver Niles badge looks great and is nice and tight, serial # 386XXX. Most importantly, this drum sounds amazing and tunes up perfectly. Enjoy!
