For your prime viewing pleasure is this gorgeous vintage WFL 5.5x14 Supreme Concert snare drum. Supreme Concert snares were the predecessors of the No. 491 Pioneer model snare and feature the standard P-83 strainer prior to the introduction of the Pioneer strainer, and offered the 5.5" depth instead of 5". Internal date stamp reads AUG 17 1957. This drum is all original aside from the heads. The mahogany finish has kept its warmth and luster with only few surface dings on this otherwise very clean finish. This transitional era drum has a classy WFL stamped P83 strainer that clicks firmly into place when engaged, paired with a WFL butt plate. The original nickel lugs and nickel over brass hoops are in great condition, as are the original wires. No additional holes or modifications of any kind. The modern heads fit well and this drum tunes up easily and sounds fantastic. Enjoy!
